An Inspired Poem: Illuminate

There is a light you carry
quiet, unwavering
not a spotlight,
but a soul-light,
the kind that lives beneath the surface
waiting to be named.
You've felt it flicker
when you followed wonder,
when you lost track of time
doing something that made you feel
entirely, unapologetically you.
But somewhere along the way,
the world asked you to dim
to trade clarity for convention,
curiosity for certainty,
and light for approval.
Still, your brilliance never left.
It lingered in your longing,
hid in your hesitation,
and now, today,
you've made it visible.
You held space for what’s inside.
You shaped it with your hands.
You called it forth in color and form,
and gave it walls - not to contain it,
but to frame it.
This cube
is not a confined box.
It’s a mirror.
A lantern.
A declaration.
A reminder
that your light,
even when quiet,
changes everything it touches.
So let it shine,
not to be seen
but to see.
To guide.
To warm.
To wake others up.
Because when you illuminate who you are,
you light the path for who we might become.
