Expand Your Vision. Narrow Your Focus.

Your next chapter doesn’t require more effort - just more clarity.
“It’s not that we don’t know what to do. It’s that we can’t see clearly enough to know what matters most.”
If you're anything like the visionary leaders I work with, and perhaps a bit like me, then you know the ache of feeling stuck. Not because you lack ambition but because your vision has outgrown your environment. You are holding a bigger dream but can’t quite find the runway to take off.
If you’re a leader or an emerging one, you probably know what it’s like to not just feel stuck but unseen. Misunderstood. Underutilized. Like you are playing a role in someone else’s play when you’re ready to write your own script.
And if you’ve spent any time in the corporate world - especially in the life sciences, where I spent much of my career - then you’ve likely experienced this paradox: an industry built on healing, often structured in a way that drains the humanity out of its own people.
But here's what I want you to hear: You have more power than you think. The stuckness isn’t permanent. And the path forward begins with a paradox I return to often: Expand your vision. Narrow your focus.
The Paradox That Shifts Everything
Let’s break it down. When you feel paralyzed - spinning your wheels, replaying old patterns, unsure what move to make next - the first move isn’t forward. It’s outward.
Expand your vision. Step back. Zoom out. Reconnect with what’s possible beyond the noise and narrow confines of your current context.
What else could be going on here?
What have you been too close to see?
What version of you is waiting just outside the current frame?
This shift in perspective doesn’t just offer you new ideas - it rewires your relationship to your circumstances. Suddenly, possibility re-enters the room.
Then, you can narrow your focus. Once you see the new path, pick one direction, one insight, one bold next step, and move toward it with intention.
This Isn’t Just Philosophy. It’s a Practice.
I have seen this shift - vision first, focus second - ignite massive transformation in leaders who were one decision away from burning out or breaking down. I have used it myself to navigate major pivots - from CFO to leadership coach, from survival mode to soul-aligned work.
In the 3D Leader framework, this is the shift from surface-level action to multi-dimensional clarity. You don’t need more hustle. You need more alignment. And that alignment is rarely loud. It often starts with a whisper that says, “There’s more here for you.”
Why It Breaks My Heart (And Why I’m Writing This)
I see brilliant people - creative, driven, world-changing leaders - who stay stuck for years. Not because they lack skill, but because they don’t know how to pause and reframe. They’ve been trained to grind, not to reflect, to prove, not to connect.
It’s heartbreaking. And preventable. You don’t have to live the rest of your life stuck in the wrong story.
This Is Your Call to Adventure
If something in you is stirring as you read this, pay attention. You’re not broken. You’re breaking open. And you don’t have to navigate it alone. This is what I do. I help high-achieving leaders make meaningful moves with clarity, presence, and impact - without burning out or abandoning who they are.
So here’s my invitation: If you're ready to explore what more could look like for you - without running faster, but by moving truer - let's talk. Because when you expand your vision and narrow your focus… You don’t just get unstuck. You become undeniable.
